Business Articles12th July 2007 - Ola and Suzanne step up the ladder with Robinsons.
Few law firms could now operate effectively without paralegals, who are qualified to perform substantive legal work that requires knowledge of the law and procedures, but are not qualified solicitors or barristers. Ola, who spent part of her childhood growing up in Nigeria, completed her Legal Practice Course (LPC) last year at Inns School of Law, London, and joins Robinsons from Milton Keynes Council, where she worked in the legal department. She is working alongside Stephen Marshall, Head of the Charity Department, and hopes eventually to qualify as a solicitor. Suzanne has joined the Dispute Resolution Department, headed by Stephen Woolley. For her, becoming a paralegal is the next step after being a legal secretary for 10 years, the last three years of which have been spent at Robinsons. Neil Barnes, Managing Partner at Robinsons Solicitors said: "Few legal practices in the country could now survive without the valuable contribution of paralegals and Ola and Suzanne are already proving their worth to the Practice. "We welcome Ola to Robinsons and are delighted to have been able to offer Suzanne a position as a paralegal. We look forward to helping them progress their careers."
