15th December 2005 - Griffin unveils the UK's leading Comms Provisioning System
A new online Channel-focused solution for Broadband provision – which offers one-touch operation, real-time links, five working day installation and simple monthly billing processes - is to be demonstrated by Griffin Internet for the first time at September's Convergence Summit in Coventry.
The latest version of Griffin's MOPS (Managed Online Provisioning System) comes after an evolutionary development of more than three years, during which time the Derby-based company has grown to become a major provider of high-quality business Internet. MOPS has been at the forefront of that success and visitors to Griffin's stand at the Summit will have a chance to see the system in action in public for the first time.
"At Griffin, we have always taken pride in our total commitment to our Channel partners by helping them protect, retain and grow their customer base for themselves," said Andrew Dickinson, Griffin's sales and marketing director.
"Our whole ethos is geared to that goal and MOPS is at the very heart of our approach. We are confident that it beats anything available anywhere in the UK market today - and possibly Europe - and we want people to come and try it for themselves in Coventry."
The development of MOPS follows a long term close working relationship between Griffin and BT.
"MOPS interfaces with all aspects of BT's internal provisioning to the extent that we can anticipate any possible problems and delays and generate automatic updates for our partners and their customers. To date, 99.4% of Griffin orders are installed and working within five working days of making that one-touch order," added Mr Dickinson.
The BT link means that MOPS users gain access to new BT products as soon as they become available. The high level of automation - there are no manual processes sitting behind the MOPS platform - gives real-time ordering processing and allows the Griffin partner to keep direct control of the process, with no delay in dealing with a third-party company and the inherent risk of exposing customer details to a potential competitor. Billing is also made simple with a monthly bill issued for each customer.
"Companies are taking a big risk promoting third party broadband brands to their customers. In the future, when IP breakout and hosted voice services start to take off, these partners could quickly turn into competitors. Griffin is committed to the channel, we believe our Partners are the best people to sell to their customers and we develop products according to their needs," said Mr Dickinson.
"MOPS makes the system fast and efficient. Broadband may be the future but right now it may seem too low value to be worth the hassle. With MOPS you can be sure that once the order is placed you can forget about it. You certainly won’t need anyone else in Sales Admin when you take on Griffin White Label.
